Positive Incentives Program
Hello Pathways Families,
I hope this message finds you well. As stated in the Family Summer Letter sent out before school started this year, we are focusing on developing positive incentives for our students who are exemplifying our school motto of POWER2 (Professional, Opportunities, Work-Ethic, Empowerment, Respect & Responsibility) and being a positive influence on the school. Our incentives will include opportunities for students to attend dances like Homecoming, field trips, and other extra-curricular events and activities to recognize the students who are doing the right thing everyday. Below are the criteria to take part in Homecoming, dances, field trips, events, and/or other activities:
- No Inside or outside suspension
- No detentions, no more than 3 tardies to any class (which would result in a detention)
- No removal from class due to behavior
- No skipped classes
- No cell phone violations, air pods, or ipads (items must be in their Yondr pouch)
- No uniform violations (Pathways Logo must be visible)
- MUST attend school on the day of any event, field trip, or activity
- No more than 2 unexcused absences between today and Homecoming (November 22, 2024) (parents/guardians should call the main office to report an absence)
- If guests are allowed at an event, appropriate guest forms must be submitted on time and approved by administration. All guests must be current high school students.
- Administration can deny the privileges of Homecoming, dances, field trips, and other activities for violating the code of conduct including but not limited to those issues stated above.
We will be monitoring the criteria for Homecoming beginning Wednesday November 5, 2024, but will also be monitoring it for all other dances, field trips, and activities.
We are very fortunate that the overwhelming majority of our students uphold the expectations of POWER2 each day and the criteria above and we want to recognize them for their positive behavior and impact on our school. We will continue to share this information with students and families to promote a positive school spirit and climate and culture here at Pathways! We thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Mike Maziarz, Principal
