Important Reminders

Hello Pathways Families,

I hope this message finds you well.

Below are a few important Pathways expectations reminders:

Uniforms
A reminder that students should be in uniform every day.  Students can wear the light blue/white short or long sleeve polo, as well as the navy blue fleece, black/khaki/blue pants OR on any day students can wear a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, or sweatshirt that has the Pathways Logo/Name on it as part of our School Spirit focus!  There are no shorts allowed.  Students cannot have open-toed shoes due to safety.  Students should not be wearing pajama pants or ripped jeans/pants.  And a reminder that the uniform shirts should be visible.

Cell Phones:

Cell phones and ipads should not be seen or used during the school.  The policy is as follows:

1. First Offense: phone confiscated and returned at the end of the day

2. Second Offense: phone confiscated, detention assigned, and phone returned at the end of the day

3. Third Offense: parent/guardian contacted to pick up the phone

The purpose of this policy is to ensure our students are focused and engaged in the classroom on their work, and engaging positively and collaboratively with their peers and teachers.

Backpacks:

Students should keep their backpacks in their lockers and not bring them in to the classrooms or lunch.  We have implemented plenty of time during transitions between classes.  Students can utilize their computer/laptop bags to bring to classes.

Below is the letter sent in August outlining the policies:

Also, the letter below is a reminder regarding keeping Pathways as nut free as possible due to nut allergies:

This year at Pathways, we are focusing on POSITIVE INCENTIVES for our students who are exemplifying POWER2 each day (Professional, Opportunities, Work-Ethic, Empowerment, Respect &Responsibility).  Students who are in uniform daily, have no cell phone violations, and no behavior violations, will be able to participate in dances, sports, activities, events, dress down days, and field trips.  Students in violation of any of the above may not be able to participate in these activities.  The purpose is to recognize and acknowledge students who are consistently doing the right thing each day and are contributing to a positive environment here at Pathways.  We will be tracking this for upcoming events beginning tomorrow, Wednesday October 23, 2024 for upcoming events and field trips, as well as rewards like new hoodies and spirit gear.  We know our students will do a great job showing us their POWER2!

As always, we truly appreciate your support.

Sincerely,

Mike Maziarz
