At University High School of Science & Engineering, we seek to bring out the best in each of our students by focusing on high academic achievement. 

UHSSE is an early college high school located on the campus of University of Hartford.  Our course specialization theme is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and the Early College educational model.  All courses are taught at the honors level.  UHSSE offers a rigorous curriculum in science and engineering with advanced level science and math courses including the nationally recognized Project Lead the Way Engineering course sequence.  Our students take ECE courses through The University of Hartford, The University of Connecticut, and The University of New Haven.





Important Information

The following RSCO lottery application assistance events are scheduled to assist families with their lottery application:

  • Monday, February 27: Little Angels Learning Center, 571 Farmington Ave., Hartford, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
  • Monday, February 27: Billings Forge Community Works, 227 Lawrence St., 2nd Floor, Hartford, 5–7 p.m.


Also, Hartford Public Library’s Downtown Branch has scheduled two days of food and fun children’s activities while you complete your RSCO lottery application:

  • ​Monday, February 27: 500 Main St., Hartford, 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, February 28: 500 Main St., Hartford, 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
