At University High School of Science & Engineering, we seek to bring out the best in each of our students by focusing on high academic achievement. We do not set academic limits; therefore our students are immersed in an honors curriculum all four years. Students are encouraged to take advantage of advanced level work by maximizing college credit while in high school. Qualified students gain college credit by enrolling in Advance Placement (AP) , Early College Experience (ECE) courses, as well as courses at the University of Hartford.
UHSSE is an early college high school located on the campus of University of Hartford. Our course specialization theme is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and the Early College educational model. All courses are taught at the honors level. UHSSE offers a rigorous curriculum in science and engineering with advanced level science and math courses including the nationally recognized Project Lead the Way Engineering course sequence. Our students take ECE courses through The University of Hartford, The University of Connecticut, and The University of New Haven.
